Hi all,

Not sure if this is related to the recent request for a snake ID posted to the forum, but this came in my mail box to KRAG, I'm fairly sure that I know what it is but am no expert on pet species. If anyone can confirm the ID I'll let the sender know.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your comments Jerry/Rob I thought it was a corn snake also, but thought it best to get another opinion.

Ive sent the picture to my brother, who used to work in the exotics trade, and he agrees that it is probably a corn snake, but suggests that it might also be a grey rat snake, any chance of a better picture?

either Corn snake or a hognose snake (due to coloration and pattern)

Either a juvenile Corn Snake or a Black Corn Snake, one of the many variations bred in captivity.

Does anyone own a hognose snake? at the Perthus (on the border to
spain) they sell them, but they eat frogs, this means it isn't ideal to keep
